Matthew Nemes

Matt has always had a passion for business and sport. He started his career as a goalkeeper in Sydney and saw himself as the next Mark Schwarzer. Alongside his goal keeping career, he completed a Diploma in Business Marketing and Degree in Business and Administration before he relocated to play football in the UK. On returning from the UK and leaving his football career behind Matt struggled mentally with the loss of being part of a team and saying goodbye to his sporting career as he knew it, which sparked him to do extra studies in Neuro Linguistic Programming and developmental coaching. This resulted in the creation of Brain Play - where Matt offers his services to help athletes reach their full potential during and after their career and this is something he is still heavily involved in today.

After Matts return from the UK, he also gained valuable experience in the hire and rental industry for 10 years where he went from spray painting forklifts to a BDM position, relocating to Melbourne and running a branch and then back to Sydney where he became National Rental Manager. The long-standing relationships he built spanned across the Building and Construction Industry, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Logistics, Events, and Renewables- anywhere that needed machinery Matt was there! Matt also spent a period of time as National Projects Manager for a logistics company in Brisbane which has put him in the consultative role he is in today when working with logistics companies around Australia.

Outside of work you will find Matt busy with his 3 sons and when he’s not busy with them, his wife, or his 2 businesses you’ll find him either surfing, running, dirt bike riding, or doing his newfound hobby now that he is slowly encroaching mid-life – cycling in Lycra!
